What is Armourfend Paint Protection Film?

Armourfend is an extremely touch urethane film that is used to cover the major painted surfaces of the vehicle that are subjected to stone chips and abrasion damage.  Headlights and fog lights can also be protected. 

Why does my vehicle need Armourfend?

The base/clear coat paint systems now in use by the major manufacturers are vastly superior to the earlier processes.  However, stone chips, bug damage, abrasion ad weathering still create problems for the front end and leading surfaces of the vehicle. Armourfend Protection virtually eliminates these problems. 

What does Armourfend protect?

A typical installation includes the front of the hood, painted surfaces surrounding the grill, front wheel arches, headlights, fog lights, mirrors, bumpers and front fenders. 

Can I request other areas to be protected?

Yes, we can fit most painted surfaces.  Your dealer can make these arrangements. 

Can I see the film after it’s installed on my car?

The Armourfend film is a clear, non-yellowing film that allows the vehicle’s color brilliance to shine through.  A barely perceptible fine line along the hood (where the film ends) is usually the only indication that Armourfend is protecting your vehicle. 

Can Armourfend be waxed?

Yes.  Armourfend is similar to the clear coat used on your vehicle.  We recommend a non-abrasive wax to bring out the brilliant shine of the Armourfend film.  Do not buff an Armourfend protected surface. 

How long will Armourfend last?

The Armourfend films have an expected service life of at least five (5) years.  During this time they will not discolor. 

Will Armourfend harm my vehicle’s finish?

No.  Armourfend’s Protective Film will not harm your vehicle’s finish. 

Does Armourfend really work?

Yes.  We have removed film from vehicles that have been in service for several years and the factory fresh finish is perfectly protected.  No color difference existed between the unprotected and protected areas. 

Can Armourfend be removed? 

Yes.  Armourfend can be removed by any Authorized Armourfend Dealer. 

Can older vehicles be protected? 

Definitely.  While we cannot restore existing paint damage, we can stop further stone chips and weathering from occurring. 

What is the Armourfend warranty?

Armourfend will replace, at no charge, any film that fails in use due to material or workmanship for a period of three (3) years. 

How long has the Armourfend system been I existence? 

It has been used successfully in England and Europe for many years.
